1941: The Jewish Chronicle demands a unprecedented holocaust

"Early Jewish mysticism, which is mentioned in Talmudic literature as being the preoccupation solely of a chosen few,"
..
Tishby, Isaiah. The Wisdom of the Zohar: An Anthology of Texts Vol. II. 2008. Portland, OR: Littman Library of Jewish Civilization, 1991. p.587.

Below is an extremely cryptic "Sermon For the Week" I found in The Jewish Chronicle.

"Could aught save the world? Only a blood-red sacrifice, a flaming
holocaust, a lurid pyre such as the world had never witnessed before."

"... a Divine oath occurs as a direct result of man offering a sacrifice,
since God swore the oath only when He "smelled the pleasant aroma."
