The following is a widely reported story about a 15 year old boy who gave an affidavit to Czech war crimes investigators at Buchenwald in 1945 in which he supposedly claimed to have had finished working as a sonderkommado at Auschwitz-Birkenau the previous year, i.e. at aged 14, when he was transferred to Buchenwald. What age he claimed to have started working as a sonderkommando is unclear, but maybe it was at aged 12, as the article does suggest.
Incidentally, for those who don't already know, Terezín is the Czech name for Theresienstadt, and in the article Terezin does not refer to the ghetto but Theresienstadt family camp situated in compound BIIb at Birkenau.
